Two Sierras Nevadas

And since I couldn't go to Sierra Nevada, Spain on the last weekend of March (poor me), Nuno took me to Sierra Nevada, California on the first weekend of April.

The weather was awesome, sunny, not cold at all, and we had to try skiing. Of course I had never skied before (plus I was jet lagged, which probably isn't an excuse for my poor skiing skills) and I forgot to put sunscreen on my face, so now I am all sore, bruised and I have a nasty sunburn, but all in all I had the time of my life :)

the gondola lifts

and its amazing view

took us directly into the heavenly mountain resort

I arrived to the conclusion that skiing is a lot more fun when you have a kamikaze in the group. Yep, that's me... bold + poor skiing skills = mokinha kamikaze! The only way I seemed to be able to stop was by going into things and our ski instructor must have had lots of fun taking photos of me crashing into the fence.

"look at me, i'm skiiiing!!!"

"oh-oh! how do i stop?"

into the fence

getting up

into the fence one more time

Now we're ready to climb to the top!

hmm... seems high

here we go!

the end result: two happy lobsters
