Surviving a hurricane

So this time I was welcomed back to the US with a lovely category 4 hurricane.

Yep! Here I am in "The Big Apple", the city that never sleeps... but the subway is closed and authorities advised people to DO NOT LEAVE THE HOUSE during the storm... We had to spend the entire day inside, only with a smelly cheese, port and scrabbles to keep us company. I guess it could have been worse...

Of course that by the time Irene reached NYC it had already been downgraded to a category 1 storm, nothing but some annoying rain and wind in excessive quantity.

Sorry to have disappointed you Irene... but we managed to survive!
